The challenge
The facility needed nurse call and wander management that supported resident freedom without compromising its apartment-style environment.
The solution in practice
Residents carried assistance RTLS tags. ZulaFly sent their identity and location to nearby staff smartphones. Movement alerts supported early assistance; individualized location alerts helped staff guide residents away from unsafe areas. The deployment reduced reliance on wall buttons, pull cords and fall mats. Staff also used voice-to-text notes.
Results and impact
Alongside the reported changes above, residents could move and socialize with help accessible from their tags. Families gained reassurance, while staff had location information to support response and care records.
“Our residents are free, not tethered. They’re active and enabled.”
